A deputy chief CPS official stated, “Legal teams have diligently worked to assist a thorough and intricate investigation, carefully reviewing the available evidence to determine that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.” Scope of the Investigation These allegations follow what investigators called a “complex investigation” into alleged assaults at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and Russells Hall hospital. The defendant is due to appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.
