Individual Who Approached Ariana Grande on the occasion of Film Launch Barred from Singapore

An Australian man that leaped across a fence and reached for celebrity Ariana Grande has been sent away and prohibited from Singapore.

The individual, 26, was handed a penalty to over a week in jail for being a public nuisance and has now been "barred from re-entering Singapore," the country's border control stated to Singaporean press.

The man shoved beyond security and rushed toward the actress and singer, who was attending the Asian premier for the film on November 13. Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo pulled him back from Grande.

He has a background of causing disturbances at events and high-profile gatherings, including leaping onto the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in the past June.

The incident caused anger in Singapore, with several individuals claiming he of re-traumatising Grande.

The celebrity has spoken of experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a terrorist bombing at her concert in Manchester in May 2017 took the lives of 22 individuals and hurt numerous attendees.

In the legal process, the authorities learned he had made efforts to breach on the film's premiere on two occasions, according to local news sources.

He then made a second attempt to jump the barricades. Event security intercepted him and restrained him.

The man subsequently shared video clips appreciating the celebrity for permitting his access and said he was "released."

Police arrested him the subsequent day and charged him with disorderly conduct, to which he confessed.

The Presiding Judge Christopher Goh was referenced by media reports as saying that the man sought attention, adding that he was mistaken to believe he would not experience repercussions.

Grande has not commented on the situation.

The co-star mentioned the incident to the press, stating that she "only aimed to make sure my co-star was safe."

"I'm sure he didn't mean us harm, but you can't predict with these incidents, and I sought to confirm that she was alright. That was my initial reaction," she commented.
